Healing Communities One Circle at a Time
About Mending Communities

Founded in April 2024, Mending Communities, LLC is a restorative resolution and social work organization dedicated to repairing harm, strengthening relationships, and building healthier communities through restorative practices, mediation, peace circles, education, and community-centered programming.

We provide Restorative Resolution Services for individuals, families, organizations, and communities seeking constructive, relationship-centered approaches to conflict. Through our signature Restorative Resolution Journey, community members are guided through a structured process that promotes understanding, accountability, collaborative problem-solving, and, when possible, restoration.

Our work also includes restorative programming for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated adults and youth, family reunification support, restorative peace circles, and trauma-informed, culturally responsive services that foster healing, personal growth, and successful community reintegration.

In addition, Mending Communities offers accredited continuing education (CE) and professional development opportunities for social workers and other professionals, as well as training and consultation for organizations seeking to strengthen communication, improve workplace culture, implement restorative practices, and support ongoing professional development, accreditation, and organizational growth.
Our Mission

To restore dignity, strengthen relationships, and build healthier communities by providing restorative resolution services, social work, peace circles, education, and restorative practices that foster understanding, accountability, healing, and lasting transformation.
Looking Ahead

A future where dignity is restored, relationships are strengthened, and communities thrive through education, collaboration, restorative practices, and equitable access to resources that promote healing and lasting transformation.

Transforming the way we Respond to Conflict

At Mending Communities, we believe conflict and harm can become opportunities for understanding, accountability, and growth. We are committed to changing the way individuals, families, organizations, and communities respond to disagreement—not by asking who wins or loses, but by asking how we move forward together.
Our work:
-
Promotes restorative resolution by helping community members navigate conflict through dialogue, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving.
-
Strengthens relationships by creating opportunities to repair trust, rebuild connection, and foster healthier communication.
-
Supports justice-impacted individuals and their families through restorative programming, peace circles, social work services, and community reintegration efforts.
-
Partners with organizations, schools, and businesses to cultivate restorative cultures, strengthen workplace and community relationships, and address conflict in constructive ways.
-
Provides education and professional development that equips professionals with practical, trauma-informed, and restorative approaches to serving their communities.
-
Amplifies the voices and experiences of historically marginalized communities, advocating for dignity, equity, and human-centered systems that promote healing and belonging.
We envision communities where conflict is met with curiosity instead of condemnation, accountability instead of blame, and restoration instead of division.
